Westward American Single Malt Whiskey
Master Distiller Christian Krogstad, a former brewer and winemaker, had a vision to make a distinctive American Single Malt whiskey inspired by the American Northwest. His aim, to capture its climate, culture and the abundant natural resources it offered. At that time there were only three dozen craft distilleries in operation in the US.
The Oregon climate has hot summers and cold, wet winters which are perfect for the production of world-class whiskey
This is Single Malt reimagined. It’s brewed like a pale ale, distilled like a traditional single malt, and aged like a bourbon. The result is a highly robust and uniquely American spirit. It’s distinct, brazen, and full of flavour whilst remaining balanced and bold. It starts its life as locally malted barley before making its journey into lightly charred American Oak barrels. The results are a bold and flavoursome whiskey and one that will add something different to your shelf. Don’t take our word for it. Here’s a review from the good folk at Whiskey Consensus.
