Smooth Ambler Big Level Wheated Bourbon Whiskey

Big Level Bourbon. It sounds huge right off the bat, doesn’t it!  Coming in at a respectable 100 proof this is a big Wheater, or Wheated Bourbon, meaning that it has a high Wheat content in the mash bill.  This makes it a very smooth and sweet Bourbon Whiskey and, in this case, one that has been distilled and bottled completely in house at Smooth Ambler’s West Virginia distillery.

Tasting notes
Nose – Like an American breakfast, sweet with burnt sugar and Cinnamon
Palate – Woody notes with Toffee and burnt sugar. There’s a hint of pancake batter, some cloves and a sweet and warm mouth feel.
Finish – Lightly pepper and clove, a hint of mint ending on a pleasant sweet finish
