George T Stagg 2020

George T Stagg  2020 is one of the favourites of the 2020 BTAC range.

This year’s release contains bourbon from barrels filled in the spring of 2005.  The storage location of these barrels varied across warehouses L, K and Q with this year’s batch losing around 59% to evaporation, higher than the previous couple of years.

Age Statement: 15 years  4 months.  Proof: 65.2% abv (130.4 Proof). Char: #4  Size: 75cl

Tasting notes
Nose – An abundance of caramel, cinnamon, and cherries
Palate – Smooth butterscotch and vanilla with a hint of smoked oak
Finish – Oak, chocolate, dark cherries, and a very subtle hint of coffee
