Bourbon Eggnog

Bourbon Eggnog. Maybe more of a festive drink but one worth knowing. It’s utterly lush and keeps everyone in great cheer. This is a batch recipe.

Bourbon Eggnog needs to go big and bold with the Bourbon so the spices don’t overpower it.

INGREDIENTS

  • 4 measures strong Bourbon
  • 2 measures Brandy
  • 2 Measures Triple Sec
  • 400ml Whole Milk
  • 300ml Double Cream
  • 1/2 tsp Cinnamon
  • 1 tsp Nutmeg
  • Pinch of Allspice and Cloves
  • 160gm Castor Sugar
  • 4 large eggs

METHOD

Blend the eggs in a blender for 1 minute. This is important! Add the sugar and spices and blend for 30 seconds more. Add the booze over the next 30 seconds and then the cream and milk. 1 more minute then refrigerate. Grate Cinnamon over the top when serving. Go easy!
